The words that Jesus is the light of the world (Jn8:12) point to the fact that the world is darkness. But when God created the world, he saw that the world was good. Humans have entered into sin by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but nature is not a corrupt or sinful creation. In other words, the world written in opposition to the light does not refer to the nature and space of this world, but to those who do not realize Jesus as the light.
In addition, the more you live a religious life without realizing that Jesus is Christ, the deeper the darkness is. Thus the religious leaders in Jesus' time killed Jesus by crucifixion. Even today, those who emphasize human righteousness and conduct by insisting on the law which they themselves cannot fully keep distort the Gospel and judge and condemn others. However, those who know even a little of the Gospel serve the Lord humbly.
Sanctification is not the process of obtaining human-produced fruits, but the process by which the fruits of the Holy Spirit are produced in believers through the perseverance of believers in the guidance and intervention of the Holy Spirit. Thus, believers in the process of sanctification glorify God and prepare themselves for the stage of glorification. The fruit of the Holy Spirit means that only Jesus dwells within us with the death of the self governed by the flesh through complete self-denial. In other words, self-denial is the state in which the dark vanishes completely as Jesus' light, which is brighter than the sun's light, shines in the dark human being. Then, people clearly realize that Jesus is the light by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, self-denial in Christ is the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
