The revival of the church is not attained through human endeavors, but it is a natural phenomenon which happens in the church when God opens the door to preach the gospel and God gives faith to those who hear the gospel. To say that we pray for the kingdom of God means praying for those in need of the gospel. Just as the seed of life takes root and sprouts when falling into the ground, the more we realize the depth of the gospel after the word of life falls in our hearts, the more we earnestly pray for the door of the gospel to open.

In general, people tend to misunderstand that Paul preached the gospel with his own will and zeal for God. In fact, Paul had to wait for the Lord to open the door of the gospel, and Paul was completely subordinate to God and worked under God's guidance. Also, it was entirely through the grace of God that Paul was able to be victorious in Christ and to spread the aroma of Christ's knowledge by being upright in God's words while preaching the word of God without falling into Satan's bewilderment. The aroma of the knowledge of Christ, that is, the fragrance of Christ, means preaching the gospel, the word of God, rather than the human personality. By the way, the scent of Christ which appears to believers who contain the gospel is, as Paul explained, a fragrance that leads from life to life for God’s chosen people, but it is a terrible odor which leads from death to death like a poisonous gas for those who are not chosen.

The reason why people cannot return to the Lord after hearing the gospel is due to distorted thought and unbelief that they are trapped in enslavement by religion since they feel the fragrance of Christ, not as the scent of life, but as toxic gases. In addition, even though they have accepted the gospel and there is a form of godliness, it is an unfortunate phenomenon occurring due to the absence of the Holy Sprit who actually works through the gospel that they do not pray for the door of the gospel to be opened and the wrong words, attitudes and deeds contrary to the fruit of the Holy Spirit appear. The gospel is the truth, and believers who contain the gospel enjoy freedom even in difficult times because the scent of Christ emerges. This is because the truth, the word of God, always liberates people. Thus, the believer prays fervently and hopes to become an integral servant of Jesus.
