Moses met God at Mount Sinai. It was hard for Moses to abide by God's call, but God decided to use Moses. How much should a person study and how much character should a person build before being qualified to do God's work? No matter how hard you try, it may seem great to humans, but is it truly in God's eyes? However, when God calls, God uses him or her regardless of human readiness and ability.
Just as Moses met God at Mount Sinai, just as Moses received the words of God on Mount Sinai, just as Elijah heard the tiny voice of God at Mount Sinai, and just as Mary, who chose to hear Jesus, made a right decision, serving God on Mount Sinai in Exodus 3:12 means hearing and receiving God's word. The Bible, the word of God, is already in our possession. However, it is very important to listen to what is being preached in order to understand this word more precisely.
The religious leaders in Jesus' day sought a sign from Jesus. Religious leaders awaited a Messiah that would lead them to the best and most powerful nation in the world after the rebuilding of the Davidic dynasty. In particular, the religious leaders wanted to see a greater and more visible sign, such as a fire or earthquake, than God’s call given to Moses at Mount Sinai, the words of God that Moses received on Mount Sinai, and the sound of a gentle whisper Elijah heard.
However, contrary to the expectations of religious leaders, Jesus did not say anything about the world and only preached about the kingdom of God. Thus did the religious leaders crucify Jesus. Still today, people want to hear the voice of the world in the church. People are obsessed with resolving their own problems and raising their own value. However, the church is not a place to convey the sound of the world or to show the fire and earthquake, but a place to convey the word of God.
